landscape virtual keyboard

Hi im new to these forums, i just got my moto droid about 3 weeks ago and love it. I'm wondering if theres a setting to make the virtual keyboard pop up automatically when i rotate the phone. Every time i rotate the phone the virtual keyboard goes away and i have to click it again to open it in landscape. Any fix for this?

Thats frustrating i thought I saw it in a video some rotated it and it did it automatically but I could be wrong

Welcome to the forum!!

I do not believe there is a setting for that (I could be wrong). It bugs me to no end as well. I have just gotten in the habit of turning my phone in landscape before I tap the box to type in.
