lapdock hack questions

So a very simple thread but will the hack that allows you to use lapdock on any computer screen with an HDMI cord work with the ics update? I'm considering buying an HDMI cord for lapdock but I'm NOT buying the $400 device Motorola sells for lapdock use.

I use a micro HDMI to HDMI, its awesome. When ics comes out, this feature will get better too.

I just bought a Bionic Lapdock in preparation for the ICS OTA rollout, so I've been engaging in some research while I wait for it to arrive.

The ISC update enables Webtop 3.0 to be selected simply by plugging in an HDMI cable to a compatible monitor. -No more blatant cash-grab BS adapters or need for hacks!
