Although these specs will not offer any surprises, we are reporting them here for your edification. The internal hardware for the Galaxy S7 Active has supposedly been revealed. Here's what we know:
  • 5.5-inch 2560 x 1440 display
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 820
  • 4GB of RAM, 32GB of Storage
  • 12MP rear camera, 5MP front camera
  • NFC, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, etc
According to the source of this leak, what is more intriguing about the provided info isn't what is included in the Galaxy S7 Active, but what will be excluded. It supposedly won't have the fingerprint sensor, nor the heart rate sensor. There's one other caveat to this device... it will likely be exclusive to AT&T, leaving many would-be owners on other networks out in the cold.

Eh, I think the fingerprint scanner is quickly becoming the "must have" feature in phones. I am ready to put it past NFC, mainly because we still do not have enough stores that support NFC payments.

NFC isn't just for pay systems. I've used the NFC feature regularly for years to easily transfer batches of photos from one device to another.
