Leaving on a cruise ......need an app please !

I am leaving on a cruise first week of January and wondering if there is any app that will help me make cheaper calls from the cruise. I would appreciate it if anyone can help me out. Thanks.

Thanks for responding, I have Skype installed on my Droid Pro. My father took his Blackberry Storm to Italy and said that Skype phone calls did not work. I am signed up to the unlimited global internet plan with Verizon for the duration of the trip. The rate per minute is $2.99 which is absolutely insane. Thats why I am really hoping that I can find an app to make cheap calls.

Google Voice will still use your minutes. I'd say do some research into SIP, but can't point you to any links since I'm unfamiliar with them.

or google search "google voice and gizmo" i've done it before locally just to mess around as i've never had to use it over seas yet. but it should work.
