Here's a little bit of news about Lenovo and the launch of a new smartphone coming from the Chinese company. According to Android Headlines, Lenovo will announce at some point soon the Golden Warrior S8 Smartphone.

The device will reportedly come with a gold finish, 5.3-inch screen sitting at a resolution of 1,280x720 pixels, MediaTek MT6592 Octa-Core, 13-megapixel shooter, front-facing 5 megapixel camera, 16 GB on board storage with microSD support in tow. The smartphone will run on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean)--yes you read that right, no 4.4 KitKat. The handset will be pitched as a mid-tier handset and will be priced at a paltry $130.00 US Dollars or 'thereabouts'. Despite running Jellybean and the not so dazzling screen resolution, if the phone is priced sub $200.00 US it will be a steal.

It's not clear what Lenovo's launch plans might be for the Golden Warrior S8 since it hasn't yet been announced. Too see pics of the Golden Warrior S8 please visit AndroidHeadlines

4.2.2 really?

At this point there is no excuse to not release with Kit Kat. Yeah ill pass as buying a phone with 4.2.2 (not 4.3) is a clear sign of the software you can expect to be stuck with for the life of the phone.

I usually rip people for saying this, but that is an UGLY phone. That thing has to be almost a foot long for a 5.3" screen with all that top and bottom bezel, not to mention the sharp corners :)
