Letters I type don't show in text field

So far, this has happened in IM+ Pro and Go Chat while using the Multitouch Keyboard and the physical keybaord. I type, but the letters I type don't show in the text field. They are still being accepted, as when I hit enter, everything I type shows up in the chat. It's very annoying to not be able to see what I'm typing because then I can't go back and correct typos before hitting Enter.

Does this happen to anyone else?
