Most of us assumed that the new LG G Flex was using their flexible display with an overlay of glass, but it turns out that is not the case. As you can see in the video above, the LG G Flex can actually flex! The user flattens the device out and bends it showing that the new display is indeed flexible. You can hear some cracking and popping going on, but that is from the case of the device not the display.

It's obvious this device wasn't yet meant to be bent and contorted, but at least it's a decent presentation of the flexible capabilities of the plastic OLED. In fact, this phone might be the perfect device for folks who put it in their back pocket. If you sit on it, you are far less likely to damage the G Flex than a standard smartphone. Just for additional info, most of the specs on this device are top-notch too. The only weak spot (for some) is that the new flexible display is only 720p, although this is debatable as a flaw. Here's a spec refresh,
  • Qualcomm’s 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor
  • 2GB of RAM
  • 13-megapixel camera
  • 3,500 mAh battery
  • The 6-inch 720p display
Not too shabby... share your thoughts on this oddity.

Hmmm. The one word that came to mind when I saw this video was...."so".
