Not too long ago we shared some details of the upcoming LG G Pad 8.3. It will likely boast a pretty decent spec-sheet along with its unique 8.3-inch display size. Could this tab be a serious competitor to the Nexus 7 and the iPad Mini? If the newest intel is correct, we will soon find out.
According to the latest reports, the LG G Pad 8.3 will be launching sometime toward the end of this month. Additionally, unnamed sources have indicated it will be priced "competitively." This could mean almost anything, but the current speculation pegs the device around the $300 range. This obviously puts it more expensive than the Nexus 7, but a little bit less than the iPad Mini. If it gets down around the $250 range, then it might be a competitive value, but at $300 it will be a tough fight for LG to stand out from the crowd. Of course, it's 8.3-inch display is pretty unique and LG is betting that this is the "sweet spot" when it comes to tablet use. That remains to be seen, but most folks who have had a chance to play with the device have come away impressed. Above is a video preview of the device.
We will keep an eye on things if anything concrete comes before the end of the month launch. What price-point would convince you to consider this device?
