It looks as if it's a rumor-filled Monday. The latest intel comes from LG, where the latest scuttlebutt suggests a July 23rd official reveal of their G3 "Prime" device. Just as we reported before, this supposed premium version of the G3 will include a Category 6 LTE-Advanced radio and a Snapdragon 805 processor. In fact, here's a recap of what we reported before,
  • 5.5-inch Quad HD resolution (1440 x 2560) display
  • 3GB of RAM
  • 13-megapixel camera with optical-stabilization
  • 3000 mAh battery
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chip
  • Category 6 LTE-Advanced speeds of up to 225 Mbps
Because of that last feature, we expect the device to only come to the South Korean market (and possibly a couple of European markets with those networks). It's too bad that U.S. (and other international) carriers aren't working faster to implement these amazingly high-speed LTE-Advanced wireless networks. It would be awesome to see this device with a global launch.
