Here's our first non-Samsung story for this fine Friday morning. We wanted to share a potentially handy tip for LG G4 owners we found while crawling the web. If you ever find yourself needing to completely erase everything on your LG G4, here's a quick step-by-step instruction set for performing a factory reset on the device.
- First, If you are NOT doing the factory reset because you are giving away or selling the device, then you will probably want to keep some of the apps and settings of your device, so be sure to do a full backup first.
- Next head to the main settings of your phone, then go to the Backup and reset section.
- Now, tap on "Factory data reset" at the bottom. You will then see a screen letting you know that this will reset your device and will remove all data and all accounts on it.
- Then you will be asked to enter your phone's password/PIN/pattern.
- After you do that, you will get one last warning to remind you that this process is irreversible and will erase all of your personal data.
- Once you are sure, tap on "reset phone," and the G4 will restart twice during its factory reset. Afterwards it will bring up the initial setup screen.
