LG Vortex - speed dials

I just bought an LG Vortex, and I've been messing around with it the last 2 days. I was adding my contacts, and used the feature to add one of them as a speed dial to my home screen. Is there a way I can delete that speed dial?
Anyone have an idea how to do that?

Also, any tips or recommendations for this phone?

Long press the icon for the speed dial on the screen and drag it to the trashcan at the bottom that should appear.
