At the end of last month we shared an intriguing device that's a throwback to the early days of cell phones, yet is still an Android. LG made an Android flip phone for the South Korean market called the LG Gentle. The good news we have to share today is that the fancy little retro device has gone international and has a new name for those markets. It is called the LG Wine Smart, and it's basically the exact same device as the LG Gentle, but is meant for France, Italy, Poland, Spain, Kazakhstan, Japan and the United Kingdom.
Sadly, if you note the omissions in that list, it becomes painfully obvious that there is still no US (or even a western hemisphere) version. Perhaps if it sells well it can continue its march and make it across the pond. Here are a breakdown of specs for this curious little oddity:
- 3.2-inch touchscreen with 480 x 320 pixels resolution
- Typical buttons found on a clamshell device
- Quad-core 1.1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor
- 1GB RAM
- 4GB internal memory (that can be expanded using a microSD card slot)
- 3MP rear camera
- VGA camera
- 1700 mAh battery
- LTE support
- Android 5.1.1 Lollipop
