Linking alternate alarm clocks to Beautiful Widgets clock

I've searched but not found anything specifically related to changing the behavior of Beautiful Widgets when tapping the time . I really love both Beautiful Widgets (and the Obsidian Skin!) and Gentle Alarm and would love to be able to tap the time and bring up the Gentle Alarm app. Is this possible?

I don't think you can do it currently. The developer (Tama-Chan) is a member of this forum and very responsive to user requests. Try sending a PM with your request.

I was meaning the clock display that is a part of the Beautiful Widgets widget.

take your aftermarket alarm what ever name is and what ever location is reside in... and rename and move it to /system/app/AlarmClock.apk note my capital letters.
sync your droid and reboot. I would be willing to be that BW will THEN open your aftermarket alarm clock....

but why use an aftermarket alarm anyways , what does an aftermarket do that the stock doesnt?

Thanks for the tip. Ill try that. The advantages that Gentle Alarm has over stock are numerous. The reason I use it is for the gradual increase in volume. Its very customizable.

Adding BW to the dockstand mode would be nice too but that would need to have widget mode built into it. Or maybe BW would be an alternative docking app, especially if it linked to the alarm clock.

Alarm volume fade-in and the ability to use mp3s as alarms are two big reasons why I use Gentle Alarm. It's nice not to have the crap scared out of me by one of the default Droid alarms because they are insanely obnoxious.

I'd also like to have a third party alarm app link to BW so maybe it will be implemented eventually.

yeah I pissed the wife off several times trying out new alarms at 100% volume I use the droid to wake my ass up for work so I rely on it
