Live Wallpaper ????

I updated my phone to 2.1 and tried a live wall paper. Earth rotation. I could see it listed in the apps but couldn't find it to run it. Do I have to be rooted to run them? How can I tell? Yes I checked for it to run any app.

If you downloaded it in the market it should show up in your livewallpapers. You don't have to rooted.

Can you use live wallpapers on the Eris? I downloaded a live wallpaper and nothing showed in my wallpaper section, so I am guessing the Eris doesn't have that capability?
