Location in Calendar

There is a field in the calender when you create a new event, titled "Where". I discovered that you can type in the adress and it creates a link so when I go into the event I can just click that and it will connect me to maps...I really like this because if I have a meeting or have to be somewhere its nice to have the address linked.

But the problem I'm having is once I click the link and open it maps, and then go back to calender, it will at first show the location still...but if you back up a screen into whatever your standard view is, then go back into the event the location is no longer stored in there. This is obviously incovenient....any fixes or does anyone have a similar experience??

I think the issue you are having is actually the same problem that I have been having, along with the guy who posted on the following forum:

Motorola Droid Calendar Problem

My issue has been that when I add events *either* on Google Calendar or on my Droid Calendar some of them will end up losing the Event Location data on the Droid. All my event location stays perfect on the Google Calendar. If I create an event on my Droid, the event location will stay in there maybe 20% of the time. But as soon as the Droid syncs and notifies Google of the new event, most of the time the event location is lost on the Droid. Deleting/recreating the event has no effect, as does clearing all of the Calendar app data and having it fully re-sync.

So it seems to me there is some issue with the syncing between the Droid and Google. And I think you are blaming the Maps app when you are really just spending enough time out of the event in the calendar for it to sync with Google and lose its location data. I could be wrong though.

In any case, this is VERY frustrating. Already, just 36 hours into owning a Droid, I am getting upset at how bad the Calendar behaves on the Droid. I might be trying a calendar replacement here soon.

Does anyone know how to check and file a "bug" with Google about this? If you do, can you see if you can replicate this issue and hopefully get us on track to let Google know there is a problem? Thanks!
