Lock my droid using numeric lock code?

I read (in this forum) about 'lock' app, however, you can bypass the lock. Can someone please suggest a good app to lock my phone using numeric code? I'd also like to lock certain applications with password. I showed my friends my new phone and they were just scrolling/playing with it...but it was just way too much information for them to see.

ditto!!!! you would think there would be an app that does this.....hell, there are 10,000 apps. hope someone will realize they could be profitable with developing this!!

There is one called app protector which invokes password requirement for any app of choice, & there is also wavesecure which allows you to lock the phone down via a passcode, but it is built more for lost phone recovery.

I have been looking in to creating a basic lockdown with passcode as a simple widget button, also.

Petkajob - if I recall correctly (and I have not been known to me correct much), you are the developer for other well regarded Android apps, so I would wholeheartedly endorse (i.e., pay for) a numeric widget based lock app.

It is very needed and I think the Market would respond very favorably.
