lock screen always on

I have been running stock android 4.02 since the update but just recently i noticed im loosing almost 20% of batter per hour while bearly using the phone. I noticed that once i hit the power button to lock the screen a few second lator the lock screen pops up and never goes away so my screen is always on draining battery. The phone is getting really warm because of this too. I decided to root and flashed to the newest codenamedroid 1.1.1 rom but i am still having the same issue. Any one else experiencing this?

after talking to somone on a another forum it looks like i may be having a hardware issue. Im also having problems in which sometimes my phone will not recognize a charge. I am having both issues with my extended battery and original. I guess i will be swapping it out for another.
