Locked out

I have a MAXX running under JB. Yesterday a went into privacy settings and used the tool where there are 9 little circles and you choose a pattern to unlock the phone. I wrote down the pattern. I used the path successfully up until just now...Where I am locked out. Anytime I attempt to unlock the phone I get a 'try again' prompt. Any suggestions?

Just found this online yesterday. Hope it helps.

Keep making random patterns about 5 times or so and it should lock you out for 30 seconds and it will ask if you forgot your pattern and you enter your gmail password.

Thanks for the help. Unfortunately, that did not work. The wonders of the JB "upgrade" strike again. I actually what you suggested yesterday. Motorola's tech support is laughable. They recommend going into Settings and changing the patterns. :icon_eek: 'But wait. I can't get into settings, sir.' The long and the short was that I ended up doing a factory reset. This is my third FS under JB. Aside from losing a bunch of text msg. (big deal), I was back in business in less than an hour. Practice makes perfect. My wife has the same phone but is hanging onto ICS. She has not experienced this problem using Pattern unlock. I'm hesitant to try it again. Aren't we due for another 'upgrade' soon? :happy3:
