Hello,
I recently got the update to Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA on my Samsung Galaxy S5 on Verizon. I usually use HandCent for my text messaging app, but have been having some problems with receiving and sending group MMS text messages in a timely fashion.
My wife has a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and uses the default Samsung Messages app. I believe her phone is still running KitKat. She strongly urged me to start using the default Samsung Messages app because she experiences no problems with it. So last night, I went to look for that app on my phone, and it does not appear to be there any more! I don't see it in my Apps folder, and it does not appear as a choice when I go into settings to select my default text messaging app (I am only offered the choices of HandCent SMS and Hangouts).
Has anyone else noticed Samsung Messages disappearing after the Lollipop upgrade?
Is Hangouts now the usual default app for Samsung?
