Long Press of Home Button

I know that a long press of the home button will bring up a menu of recently used apps.

Does anyone know of a way, or an application that will allow me to assign permanant apps to that menu that would always show up with a long press.

Thanks.

An alternative might be to create a folder on your desktop with a few of your favorite apps. Button Shortcut, in the market, will let you assign other apps to that long-press but doesn't let you do what you are asking.

You might try "abcOrganizer" to assign a widget to your favorite apps, as well. I find it a good way to keep a set of applications accessible with a single widget.

You can also do, settings: applications: quick launch, and sign applications to a simple 2 click procedure.
