Found this place while searching for a way to change the LED light on Burton, my Droid 3. Light flow works beautifully, by the way! I need to track down who suggested that app, because it is amazing and I can't believe my 3 is capable of all these colors.
I own one other Droid, the OG Motorola Droid, named Mechakara, and retired on account of saving me a hospital visit and serious injury. Okay, story time.
I was at a Halloween festival with my church group, and I had gotten separated from them. While trying to find out where they were, through txting, I stepped in a ridiculous pothole and took a big spill onto the ground (in costume, no less!), scuffing up my knee and legs and cutting up my arms...but I would have fallen hard hand first onto the pavement and likely broken my hand had it not been for my Droid. The Droid significantly softened my fall, taking the brunt of the damage and saving me from it. To show for it, now said Droid has a seriously scratched display, a broken camera, and likely, should my Droid be sentient (he probably is!), a broken ego as well. Other than the camera and the display hiccups, the Droid still works like a charm.
Before this incident, I was going to likely sell Mechakara to get money for the Droid 3 (was later a Christmas present from my father). But afterwards? I decided to retire the phone to my computer desk, complete with battery and accessories, in case I have another phone mishap again.
Some time, I'll have to tell the story as to how I first came to own an Android, but for now, said Droid saving my backside from injury will have to do.
I look forward to spending a lot of time here.
