Long-time reader, first-time poster

I've been using this forum as a resource pretty much since the beginning of this year (I got my Droid the day it came out last November but didn't know about the forum for a while after) and finally have a question that I can't seem to find an answer for anywhere, so I signed up and will be posting my question here because I know I have the best bet of getting a straight, knowledgeable answer here.
