Losing 3G

About three weeks ago my Moto Droid starting losing 3G whenever I start accessing the internet. I'll have 5 bars of 3G, and as soon as I try to download anything I get 1 bar of 1x. It happens everywhere I am (three different states), so it's not just where I live. Ideas? Does just Verizon just all of a sudden suck?

yeah, this. sorry. still 1x now for 2 days. it might jump to 3g for a minute, but then it goes back.

Yep, this should help. If not, it's possible Verizon is servicing your tower.... Does this happen everywhere? Or just in one place?

Sorry about jumping your thread but thanks. I was having the same connection problems with my new droid at home and now I'm good.

haha i tried that and it didnt work. i went into verizon a few days later, the dude tried that and it worked. i guess he was just better at sweet talking it.
