Lost all email, contact, and calendar account info this morning

I'm prepared for the usual barrage of "This has already been covered in 245 threads" but I swear I did search for this before posting. In many different ways. So give me a break.

This morning when I woke up my Droid had lost all of my accounts. No exchange calendar, email, or contacts. Normally I would blame that on exchange or my company's server, but Droid also lost my Yahoo account. It had no email accounts except GMail, which of course has its own app.

I have no idea how this happened. As far as I know I have not done anything that could have caused this, even accidentally. After I got everything set back up again I went through and tried to figure out how to delete an email account and I am quite sure that I did not do it myself accidentally.

Anyone else experience this? Any idea how it happens? Anything I can do to prevent it from happening again?

More information: I did not have to re-enter my facebook information. So either it never got deleted, or when I re-entered my Yahoo information it pulled Facebook in on its own.

One more update (don't call it a bump) - I also had some strange battery problems today. I don't think they're related but it is sure weird that they happened in the same day. I had my phone plugged in to the wall overnight and USB most of the day, and when I unplugged it, it claimed to have 5% battery remaining. I promptly plugged it back in to my USB and it said "charged."

Again, not saying they're related (I would bet they're not) but in case other people are having both problems I might as well document the entire patient history.

I have that exact same battery problem on a pretty regular basis (about once every 3 weeks or so) and I've never lost any of my contacts or e-mails. Don't know what's causing the contact/e-mail loss, but you're not the first person to complain about it.

I only use GMail and Facebook, though -- I don't have a Yahoo account, a MS Exchange account, or anything else... Maybe that's got something to do with it? The Droid has never handled Exchange all that well...

Try doing this: Contacts/menu button/import-export/import from SD card. That should get everything back.

Go to applications, filter all and choose the email app. Clear all data and then re configure your accounts.

This has been happening since November, I keep hoping it will get fixed - and so far I've managed to not smash the droid into little pieces, it always happens at the worst times; like it is taunting me.

The last time my facebook sync got screwed up as well, I just had to reset the sync in the facebook app.
