Lost Voice-to-Text capabilites

I got the OTA 2.1 update and may comma changed to a microphone as illustrated. I am not sure what day or what got "killed", but I can not get the functionality back. I have tried in multiple apps and email with no microphone (voice input) capabilties. How do I restart the functionality? I have looked in Settings|Apps with no luck.

If you have the microphone showing on the keyboard, voice to text is activated. When you are in the text box, press the mic key and start speaking.

If you no longer have the microphone, go to settings>language & keyboard>android keyboard and make sure that voice input is checked.
