Lower volume of Touchless control?

What volume setting does touch less control use? My notification volume is set to about 50% but when I give a command, or place the phone on my wireless charger, the notifications are really loud. I need to find a way to quiet the phone down.

Probably falls under 'system' instead, or maybe a default level built in?

I have the same issue. If I ask "what is the time", it reads out the time very loudly, though the speaker volume is less than 50%. So, under the Google Now settings, there is an option to turn off the audio. I did that as a workaround.

Now, if I am calling Mr. X, it announces the world very loudly " Calling Mr. X on mobile" and there seems to be no way to turn the volume down on that one.

What am I missing?


Edit: Found a possible workaround. Need to try it.
