Madden NFL 11

This is bull, loaded the new software update for my X and it downloaded Madden NFL 11 but I can't delete it? And I'm afraid of rooting cause I have the chance of bricking, any ideas on how to delete it?

load up z4root, root your phone, delete whatever you need to, unroot with z4root.

Z4root is the easiest way to root, but be careful deleting apps. When the next update comes it won't work unless all the apps that are on a stock phone are present. I would suggest using titanium backup to freeze apps. You can just unfreeze when you are ready for the next update.
