Sorry in advance for the cross post - if a mod wants to remove it fine, but I felt it was important enough especially since the "rooted help" section doesn't get as much traffic as this area does.

For those that want to get stock, ota 2.3.340 without sbfing or flashing multiple update.zips you should check out the thread I have posted down there:

This works from any system version, 2.1, 2.3.320, etc.

That's the first thing I did ( stock back up), before I flashed my first rom. I'm glad because last night I had to sbf. After you sbf, there's no way to get the 2.3. 240 from Verizon.
