make LED blink faster?

I like to just quickly glance at my phone and see if I have any messages...but I feel like my phone doesn't blink fast enough for me. Is there a way to make it blink faster?

If im not mistaken Handcent has a setting like that.

I've tried that but I still think there's too long of a pause between each blink. Sorry it's kinda hard to explain what I'm talking about but when I'm in school I just want to quickly glimpse at my phone to see if I have any messages but I feel like I'm staring at my phone too long waiting for it to flash again

handcent also allows you to have a custom blinking option. you get to specify how long you want it to stay on/ off.

I just started using handcent and the amount of options is truly dizzying.

Thats the only app I can remember that has that option...it would be nice if more did, because its a great idea. I wonder if theres any downside to it, batterywise.
