Making the phone ring longer before the voice mail comes up.

Does any one know how to change the settings so my phone can ring more times before the answer machine comes up. I used to own a blackberry storm and it would play my whole ringtone song before the answer machine came up and the droid only rings four times and that's it.

I would think that is on the providers end.

Well I tried the voice mail settings and there isn't any thing there to change it, my black berry had this feature in the voice mail, or I'd there a way to turn the voice mail off?

call verizon, tell them the phone only rings once or twice before vm starts and you are never able to get to it in time... they will change the setting for you.

I meant that the provider would have to change that, like james mentioned.
