MAP on the Thunderbolt

I have a 2012 Ford Edge with MyFordTouch/Microsoft Sync and a Thunderbolt (with Gingerbread, not rooted). They are nicely paired, but I would really love to get Message Access Profile (MAP) working on it since there is a new update to MyFordTouch that allows for Text Message reading/replying. I have seen many Blackberry and some Android phones are supported for this, but not the Thunderbolt. Any ideas on when (if ever) MAP will come to the TB?
