Maps - error

My Droid 4, gives me this error when I open Maps

"Sorry! The applications Maps (processcom.google.android.apps.maps) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

Force close.

It is updated so not sure why its sudden not working. Anyone help me?

Was there a recent update to it through the Play Store?

Have you gone to Settings>applications>downloaded>Maps and deleted cache and data?

I deleted the cash but not the data and there is still a problem

Ok, so try deleting the data?

It updated today with the "idiocracy update" (I've decided to call it...) - i.e. it will tell you what great deals are near you! Clearing data / force stopping / and possibly a reboot will hopefully fix it... otherwise try uninstalling/reinstalling the update.
