Maps question

I had a chance to try out the google maps the other day, wow, very impressed. All the times ive used it ive had a cell reception. Will the map navigation work if you dont have cell reception. Im thinking we have a vacation planed in two weeks, we may be going through remote areas without service. Will navigation still work?

From a practical standpoint you'll need data coverage.

I don't know of any but you'd probably need a different nav app if you wanted preloaded map data.

The navigation will still work if you select your route before you go into areas with no coverage. The only thing you'll lose in no coverage areas is the satellite view, but it comes back as soon as a connection is found. The road map displays the entire time though.
