Hey guys - hoping somebody can help me figure this out. I use Titanium Backup to backup all my apps and settings. I did a wipe, and restored all my apps through titanium.

everything came back fine except for Handcent. it's not on my phone and doesnt show up in the app list from my phone's settings. when i go to the Market, it says "installed" but i cant click any of the buttons that say "open" or "uninstall".

any ideas? how do i get this back on my phone? help please i hate the stock texting app!!! thanks :D

that worked, thanks for the link!!!!!! i had to use the 2nd command. first one didnt work :)

With ROOT Access:

Terminal Emulator
Type: rm -r data/data/com.android.vending/cache
Press ENTER
Type: Reboot
Press ENTER

If this doesn't work, you can also try

Terminal Emulator
Type: rm -r data/data/com.android.vending/databases/*
Press ENTER
Type: Reboot
Press ENTER

You need to reboot because the Market App is always resident and will not update its cache and databases until it is restarted.
