market will not open

today i went ahead and manually installed 2.2 and simply stunning v4.6 rom, and love the way my phone is working, and looking. My problem is when i try to open the market the screen turns white for less than a second and goes right back to the home screen. nothing i have done has made it possible to get the market open

Go into settings>applications>manage applications>running>Market and then clear the cache and data, see if that works.

Did you wipe system and cache 3x in recovery before installing simply stunning?
