If you have a Nexus 5, 6, 7, and/or 9 you will be getting an official update to M next week and your favorite ROM developers will be pushing out ROMs soon after.

Hmmm.... so how should we celebrate?

Let's come up with some Marshmallow treats to enjoy in celebration.

Honestly, I'm looking forward to getting hands on with Marshmallow, but I'm actually a bit surprised that they didn't pull a "Nexus 7 (2013 only)" situation. Hoping it does my old 2012 version some good.

As for your request, Moon Pies are good and contain Marshmallow.

Nah, it's not that bad. Phone is a beast and kitkat is stable and let's me do everything I need. I can theme it to look like lollipop so I'm not even sure what I'm missing hehe.

I can't wait for official M.. Preview running nicely..

You and I both know that you will be running a M rom. ;)

Which one remains to be seen.

Is there any real big change thay comes with 6? I really haven't seen anything groundbreaking since the JB update. Unless I'm missing something here......

Smores. How can you go wrong with smores? Actually, my favorite is marshmallow covered bacon.

Great news. My Nexus 7 and 9 can stay brothers for a little while longer.

IMO, OS updates are even less relevant in a tablet setting. Our 2 Nexi 7 run flawlessly on CleanRom JB edition. There was no way I was going to update to KK after the nightmares I witnessed everyone else go through following their N7 updates.
I'll pass on the fluff n stuff unless something really catches my eye with 6.0.

That was part of my question. Have they done the official release with all features or is that still to come? From what I have seen I am not seeing anything I can't live without....

I never put Lollipop on my Nexus 7 (2013) since it is so buggy on the Nexus 4. (My daughters both have the same tablet, though, and their Lollipop versions seem to be working fine.) Seems with each little incremental update, the Nexus 4 gets more and more unstable. I may not bother with Marshmallow since I have KitKat working just as I like it on the tablet. And I guess it looks like the Nexus 4 won't be getting any further updates, and the new Nexus 5X is lacking in too many ways...I may have to shop around now for a replacement.

I haven't had a marshmallow melted brown over the BBQ in decades. Hmmmm...

I thought their was an Android 6.0 change log posted earlier but I couldn't find it, so here are the features. Android 6.0 Marshmallow: all the key features revealed - AndroidPIT
The only thing that really appeals to me is the "app permissions", and really, I've gone this long without it, it's not really a necessity for me.
I do like the dark theme option. FINALLY.... that whole "color everything white to mimic Apple" nonsense was ridiculous.

I like the white style. For my failing eyesight, black on white is easier to read, especially when my glasses are nowhere at hand. (Yes, yes, I know--I need bifocals. ;) ) What's really strange is that anything red (on black) is really blurry, yet the blue/green spectrum is still partly clear.

I see a few nice Marshmallow features, but I don't know if they are a game changer. Android Pay is just a feature split off from Google Wallet, but as a word of warning (which I'm sure has been mentioned elsewhere here), you can't set up Apple Pay unless you have a stock, unrooted phone with a locked bootloader. So in other words, they broke it for many of us. Yes, I can partly understand why and yes, I can remove root and lock the bootloader, but we shouldn't have to.
