I have a Verizon S3 and I've even switched to a 4200 hyperion battery. I'm having this issue where I travel around town for work and it seems like my phone won't stay in 4g even though i know there are 4g towers. If i restart it goes back to 4g. I've looked at my battery stats and it seems my phone is Awake when the drain happens. I know common sense would say 3g doesn't drain as much as 4g but in my case it's much worse. It seems to do it while my phone is just in my pocket. I'm not rooted and running the latest updates.
