Can anyone tell me what the max I can install in the Bionic using the micro sd card?

I'm pretty sure the max microSD you can use is 32GB. That, plus the 16GB internal SD in the Bionic, makes total memory 48GB.

If that was the question, I can confirm this works. I have 32GB sdcard-ext.

Yes, 32 GB SD card is the largest you can install. Not just because there isn't larger out there, but 32 is the largest that SDHC supports. Next series will be SDXC which will range from 64GB to 2TB for micro SD.
Btw, don't be fooled by the iDevices having 64gb, that is just two 32gb modules in tandem, SDXC is still in development.
