When I hookup my Droid to any stereo source via the 3.5 Jack, the music sounds crackled. Like a speaker is blown. Tried different cables and sounds the same in auxiliary input in car and home stereo, even downloaded meridian media player and sounds the same.

Turn the media volume on the Droid down one or two steps below full. I've noticed in my car as well, and that seemed to get rid of the clipping.
