Mediaserver consuming most of the battery

I'm on ICS leak 232, and have noticed my battery life is getting consumed mostly by a service called Mediaserver. I have the extended battery and usually with moderate usage I get down to around 40–50% after about 8 hours. Lately I've been getting down to around 20% battery with the same amount of usage because of the media server service draining my battery. Anyone know what this is?
