"Mediaserver" is trolling my battery :C

Some Mediaserver thing is using more battery power than my display on average :C I have an extended battery and my phone still lasts like 5 hours. I just came back over from MIUI where I could go like 2 days without a charge. Also, my phone is REALLY hot all the time. what gives?

Im on a D2 Running CM7GB (10/6) OTA Kernal with Jakesmods v12 and the most recent gapps

That can be a sign of corrupted media files on the SD card...you might want to check and remove recent photos/videos from your card and see if that resolves the issue.
