Messaging crashes @ unlock

So 90% of my phone time is "Messaging" if the screen locks; I enter the pattern to unlock and if I didn't close the Messaging app it locks up and I have to "FQ". =(

I started having this problem after I installed anti virus... I removed Anti virus today and haven't had the issue since...
