MEsseging system App. uninstalled on Dinc2.

New to Incredible 2. Nice Phone. Had them two days, both my wife and I. Suddenly yesterday, her System messaging app will not work because it disappeared , uninstalled, deleted. Not in the in the drawer or find-able. Alert say app not installed. Any ideas what happened? I downloaded Handsent, it works for now, but bothers me that the app disappearing. we are within the 14 day return policy (wirefly/verizon), but if its just a little fixable bug, I would like to know. Anyone familiar with this?

Yes things got messed up after the Android 2.3 update. You need to factory reset the phone. It's in settings/sdcard and storage. It should fix your issues. Make sure you have your contacts backed up. Your apps should redownload from market. Don't erase sdcard.

This kind of thing happens when a new Android OS is introduced. My market and some other apps disappeared on mine when I was unrooted. Factory reset fixed my issues.
