So I just rooted my Droid X after running the system update and finding MORE bloatware (stupid Kindle). Deciding that I have had enough of the garbage stuffed on the phone I wanted to remove all the crap Motorola stuffed in my phone.

My question is when Froyo is officially released for the Droid X will updating my OS undo my rooting?

how do u propose to do that? lol thats what everyones complaining about is the fact that the bootloader is locked - thats what u need into to put froyo onto the DX
