Milestone stopped to connect to network after rooting

Hi,
I tried to root my Milestone in order to upgrade it later on, but after rooting the phone is no longer connecting to teh GSM network.

i tried to search networks manually or even automatic but an error message always appears:
"error while searching for networks"

i changed the SIM for anothe roperator, and it's always the same.

any help is appreciated.

Did you activate the Air Plane Modus?

No...
even if i tried to activate and deactivate it again... the phone stucks starngely as if it hangs when i try to activate plane mode.

i even entered boot mode, and wiped out everything.

same.
still signal is dead.

I'm searching and found out that there're some complaints of the same issue in other forums (i.e. MODACO) but i didn't find any answer with a solution yet.

Maybe unroot and see if it gets service back? And if it does, root again and see if anything changes....

Guys... i managed to solve it...
i used RDSlite with the new SBF downloaded from
motorola_milestone:sbf [And Developers]

but how can i know if the phone is still rooted or not?

Open up a shell and type su....if it says nothing, youre rooted. if it says permission denied, your not!
