Minimal Bezels and 18.9 Confirmed For Xiaomi Redmi Note 5

Xiaomi has been gaining ground in the world market for many years now, and one of their most popular lineups is the Redmi line. The midranger is popular for providing great specs at an affordable price. The upcoming Redmi Note 5 will be the successor to last years Note 4 which smashed plenty of sales records for Xiaomi last year. We expect to see this device by the end of the year.

We now have an image of the device in the wild. The image first appeared on Chinese social media site Weibo. We can see the 6" display with minimal bezels and 18.9 aspect ratio. We still get a 1080p display. The device info page shows that the phone keeps the Snapdragon 625 SoC from last year. We will also have a 4000mah battery in the device. With this cpu and battery combination we should see some pretty incredible battery life. The phone pictured also comes with 64GB of storage and Android 7.1.2 with the MIUI 9 skin. This looks like a pretty solid midranger.

same processor as last year??? not really much of an upgrade. the image really does not do the phone justice. makes it look like a monochrome phone

overall it is really not a bad phone. some good features.
