Cyanogen's idea for his ROM is a straight stock replacement, just with full control over the phone's hardware and a few software tweaks to make it better-performing.
So no, it's not being ported to CM. CM's code makes the core of some of the MIUI ROMs, however.
i like the miui rom i've downloaded, it was some custom themed one a couple weeks ago but i've installed launcher pro plus because i can't stand the iphone style home app but i installed it over cm6 without wiping and have had no problems but the main thing i love is the phone dialer/contacts app and the power control on the notification pull down, and if all of those come to cm6.1 i'll ditch the miui rom all together
Actually, I found out a small touch DID get ported to CM -- the notification pulldown window now has some power control options. Like LED flashlight, GPS/Bluetooth/WiFi on/off for me, customizable for your needs.
