MMS messaging problem?

Does anyone know why when I receive an mms message I can't view a g.i.f. file or receive a picture with audio attached? I get the photo with a "play" symbol over it and when I touch it I get a black screen with no audio. If I touch and hold the photo I get a menu that gives me some other options but doesn't play the message either. I'm new to the droid from blackberry so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ditto that. I'm new from the Blackberry and am having the same problem.

Let's start here: On phone go here:

menu -> settings -> about phone -> reply with everything from "Firmware version" on down.
