My wife and I were watching our favorite show Sunday night, Masterpiece Mystery, on PBS. The mystery was a contemporary Sherlock Holmes takeoff.
One of Sherlock's observations was about Dr. Watson's smartphone. He pointed out the engraving on the phone - "To Harry from Susan" (or something like that.)
This is the first time I have heard of someone engraving a mobile phone. With a smartphone costing up to $600.00, I can see it being viewed as a valuable. But it is not like a watch or a ring in that after a couple of years a mobile phone becomes worthless with the constant march of technology.
Has anyone else heard of engraving a mobile phone? Is this just a Euro thing?
