The developer edition Verizon Galaxy S5 comes stock with an unlocked bootloader. This makes it super easy to install a custom recovery and root, but if you are looking to further modify your device (ie flash custom kernels and other mods) you will need an insecure boot.img. Our very own "Versatile1" has put together just what we need and has posted his insecure boot.img to the S5 Hacking and Modding Thread. Installation is easy!
1. Download
2. Create back up or have Odin rescue files available.
3. Reboot Recovery
4. Flash sv_deved_insecureboot.zip
(Not signed so you will need to toggle signature verification)
DO NOT FLASH THIS ON THE CONSUMER EDITION GALAXY S5, THIS IS FOR THE DEVELOPER EDITION ONLY!
If you have any questions on what this mod is good for or what all you can do with an insecure boot.img feel free to ask Veratile1 in his original OP.
